
Continuing toward the course of the river Vara (since some years destination of canoeists and rafting-lovers) the village of Brugnato, ancient Episcopal centre and now lively town rich in history and culture is worth a visit
Already market seat in medieval Age, Brugnato still nowadays houses fairs and markets especially in the Easter period.
Just in this period it is possible to taste the famous “Canestrelli", soft spicy doughnut with anise flavour.
For more than thirty years Brugnato has been also synonymous of mozzarella, produced with local bovine milk in the dairy of the village.
